VJC has great educational programs that inspire children, teens and adults to become more involved in jazz.
Attila Zoller established by example that exceptional quality in both programming and educational programs was the cornerstone to the jazz center's success. Our faculty are both players AND teachers, recognized on their instruments and well-established in their teaching skills.
For 39 years, the VJC has been running summer jazz workshops that focus on learning improvisational skills and developing one's abilities to perform in small-group settings. Instrumental and vocal programs run simultaneously. The rural setting replete with nice pianos and performance space is enhanced by marvelous food.
